R/Aptor Projects We aquired our APTOR group in Dec. 04` from Ron Tremper. Early in 2005 they proved themselves to be "Het" for the Eclipse gene currently seen on the world famous RAPTOR-morph! That was the year we also started our "Ruby Eyed Red Stripe"(Albino) Project! What we did was breed our Giant Aptor to our best Red Stripe. Below is our male APTOR X Red Stripe and his mate our Snake Eyed Raptor!
In 2006 we bred the Red Stripe/Aptor crosses back to a Ruby Eyed Jungle Albino, and Snake Eyed Raptor, giving us 100% "het" Eclipse geckos of pretty much all patterns, but the Reverse Stripes and Patternless Stripe types seem to be produced more often. There was alot of Red Stripe influence in this years offspring! Now here is the offspring of the pair(above)...he has slightly more colorful than normal eyes, and will be used as our "het" male for 2007
Now for 2007 our goal to hatch these new morphs with both solid, and "snake eyes" , in Albino(Ruby Eyed) and Eclipse form.
This should include but is not limited to:
-Ruby Eyed Red Stripe(Albino)
-Red Stripe Eclipse(Het Albino)
-Ruby Eyed Patternless Red Stripe
-Patternless Red Stripe Eclipse
Note: Mr.Tremper claims to have inbred for many years, and new blood is very important. We have taken the time to improve our stock, and would like to stress the fact that many breeders just simply buy two animals related or not, and go about breeding. This is not how we like to do things, and have plans to keep this bloodline very fresh using the "Patternless Red Stripe" project! We will simply breed back to those each season, because they are not directly related to the R/Aptor-line.
In early 2005 we began working with the mack Snows, and were one of the first to try the many crosses that are possible. We produced one of the first Super Hypo Mack Snows, by breeding to dominant Hypos, one of the first BOLD Jungle Mack Snows, and one of the first Jungle Mack Snow Tremper Albinos(shown in order below)
2006 did not bring us any of the Super Snow form which we had been hoping for. We had a limited amount of females.
2007 has finally brought us our first Mack SS! "He" actually came from the Hypo lines we have been working into the Macks. 5 out of 6 geckos(his sibling) have all been Super Hypos so far, and only time will tell if a Hypo Super Snow is possible. My guess they would be have grey-ish spotting instead of deep black, how cool would that be!
It is our goal to produce these types of Super Snows and combinations:
-Snow & Super Snow Super Hypo
-Snow & Super Snow Giant Albinos
-Snow & Super Snow Bell Albino
-Snow & Super Snow BOLD Jungle/Stripe
-Snow & Super Snow Blizzard
-Snow & Super Snow Blazing Blizzard
Red Stripe Projects
We aquired our Red Stripes from Hot Geckos and JMG Reptiles in 2004, we were actually looking to make BOLD and Hypo line RS. Now we will put our focus on our RS Albino, and Ruby Eyed Red Stripe Albino projects instead. We will still produce a few Red Stripes, but from these newer Albino projects. Expect to see some nice Het Albino red Stripes for sale from time to time! In 2005 we bred a Red Stripe to a Reverse Stripe Albino, about 25% of the offspring were what are now called Patternless Stripes/Patternless Red Stripes!
2006 was when the the resemblance of a PRS to an Aptor started to make sense. We bred our Patternless Red Stripes to our Giant Aptor, and a large number of "Patternless" types were produced! It has even been found that when you breed a Patternless Stripe to a Raptor, you will get some Raptors! Thus proving the two lines almost identical.
Now in 2007 we have also aquired 0.2 Raining Red Stripes, and are very excited!
It is our goal to produce:
-Raining Red Stripe
-Reverse Red Stripe
-Red Stripe Tremper Albino
-Patternless Red Stripe
-Patternless Red Stripe Albino
Enigma Projects
We have recently aquired a Bell Albino(aka red Eyed) Enigma, and are very happy to be working with this line. The pictures we have seen really do this amazing morph no justice. It really is strange, but wonderful to see an Albino with "normal" black spots! Amazing... just imagine all of the possibilities!
Bell Albino Enigmas
After some time we hope to start producing the following:
-Red Eyed(Bell) Enigmas
-Red Eyed(Bell) Mack Snow Enigmas
Tremper Albino Enigmas?
This is something we are working on aquiring, so I will not disclose any possible Tremper Enigma projects, just yet
